7 months

Maggie turned seven months old yesterday! And while it was exciting I kept getting distracted by the promise of snow so I never posted any pictures. These have been the best seven months of my life. Maggie is such beautiful joyous baby to be around. I can't get over how lucky Steve and I are to have such an amazing little girl. She is developing just as she should. She has started to army crawl her way around the house, laugh at everything, and her favorite word is "BA." She says it with vigor about everything. Grandma Linda loves to get her going and has a great video of it. If I can ever get her to email it to my I will share it with the blogsphere.

She loves loves loves her Daddy. Steve works long days so usually only gets her for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes at night. I do everything I can in the evenings to keep her up until he gets home because I know once he walks thru the door she is just going to laugh and smile like crazy. While the long days are sometimes difficult he makes up for it by getting to spend all day Friday with just her while I go to work. We are very grateful that we have not had to put her in daycare yet.

Maggie has also started to notice Sasha, Cleo and Bast. Which is perhaps the only reason why I would want to keep them around. Sasha provides her immense entertainment throughout the day. Especially if she jumps up and down, shakes her whole body to go outside, or starts barking.

She has finally mastered sleeping thru the night (most nights) and gets up about 4:30-5:30 to nurse and then goes back to sleep for a couple of hours. Naps are also getting easier and longer. I can now just lay her down in her crib and she talks herself to sleep. We still have the occasional screaming/crying fit but on the whole she is doing much better.

We are having so much fun with her these days that it is almost easy to forget the first difficult 16 weeks...almost.
